Innovation is at the core of the Al Salt Hospitality mission, and on May 2nd, 2025, our Chestnut Pub and Restaurant redefined the nightlife landscape in Iraq. We had the distinct honor of hosting the country's first-ever Silent Party, a groundbreaking event designed to offer our guests a completely unique and customizable social experience.
For those new to the concept, a Silent Party transforms the traditional clubbing environment. Upon entry to the ticketed event, each guest was provided with a pair of high-fidelity wireless headphones. With the flick of a switch, they could choose between three distinct audio channels, each curated by a different live DJ spinning their own signature sound.
The result was a truly unique sensory experience. The main room of Chestnut was filled with a captivating energy, yet remained quiet enough for conversation. Visually, it was a spectacle: a sea of guests dancing to their own beat, with headphones glowing in vibrant colors corresponding to their chosen channel—Techno, Trance, or House.
This innovative format also offered a remarkable social benefit. It empowered guests to curate their own night, switching between genres at will or simply removing their headphones to hold a clear conversation with friends without ever leaving the dance floor. The feedback was immediate and overwhelmingly positive; attendees embraced the novelty and praised the freedom it offered.
The success of our inaugural Silent Party has confirmed our belief that there is a strong appetite for innovative entertainment in the region. Since this groundbreaking event, Chestnut has hosted three subsequent Silent Parties, each one building on the success of the last and cementing its place as a must-attend event.
